Brogan has taken over Sunbelt’s inventory of more than 600 construction hoists, passenger hoists and material hoists from the manufacturers including Alimak, Stross, Geda and Maber.

Brogan already has a presence in London and the southeast, particularly in hoists and mast climbers. With this acquisition, its hoist offering goes nationwide prominence in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East. It also supports Brogan’s international position in mainland Europe and North America, where the company has seen significant growth, particularly in common tower and hoist projects.

In addition to hoist hire and installation, Brogan will complement its offering with the full range of access solutions, including common towers, mast climbers and scaffolding.

As part of the acquisition, Brogan has signed a trading agreement with Sunbelt Rentals UK. Under the terms of the agreement, Brogan will also offer its clients a wider range of complementary services from Sunbelt Rentals. In turn, for any hoist or mast climber requirements, Sunbelt Rentals UK will work exclusively with Brogan, which will provide hoist services to its UK customer base.

Brogan Group, founded by James Brogan in the late 1980s, has its headquarters near London, and offices in Dublin and Mayo in Ireland, Dubai in the UAE and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. It has 700 employees, including 450 people in overseas subsidiaries.
