Job Description
Qualifications-Experience:
Engineering degree or equivalent. Minimum 20 years of
experience in the construction or manufacturing industry
with at least 10 years’ experience in managing quality
functions in oil & gas projects of which 5 yrs relating to
offshore oil& gas projects. Good knowledge of quality
management systems from both design and
implementation aspects.
The successful candidate should hold a quality auditor’s
certification/registration by an internationally recognized
body. Qualifications and certification in welding, coating
and NDT to recognized organization will be preferable.
Principal Duties:
• Contributing to the establishment of a fully documented project
quality system in line with the Contract requirements and ISO
9001:2015 covering Field Procurement, Installation and Pre
/Commissioning.
• Supervision and coordination of the project team of discipline QC
Engineers and/or QC Inspectors as appropriate.
• Development of Quality Control Procedures and Inspection &
Test Plans as appropriate in conjunction with the QA Manager.
• Implementation of the Inspection & Test Plans requirements and
coordination with Construction Management to this end.
• Ensuring compliance of works with applicable codes, standards,
contracts, specifications through suitable examinations and
testing.
• Prepare project Monthly QA/QC Report by collecting the
necessary information for the review and approval of the QA/QC
Manager
• Assist in the analysis/investigation of the root causes for NCR’s
and recommend preventative actions for discussion with the
Project Management.
• Prepare and maintain a project-wide internal quality audit
schedule to ensure effectiveness of the project quality system for
approval by the Project QA/QC Manager and Project Manager.
This will include subcontractors and/or vendors, as applicable.
• Perform project quality internal audits as per approved schedule.
Produce audit reports for circulation to the departments
concerned.
• Recommend improvements in the construction processes from
the quality standpoint following consultations with the Project
QA/QC Manager.
• Perform unscheduled site surveillances to monitor performance
of construction in terms of quality and prepare short reports to
the Project QA/QC Manager.
