Job Description

As an Account Manager - Marketplaces, you'll lead ecommerce operations and growth strategies across top platforms like Amazon and Walmart. You'll manage listings, pricing, inventory, and brand presence while partnering with cross-functional teams to boost visibility, performance, and profitability in a competitive digital landscape.

  • The Qualifications We Seek

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing ecommerce marketplace accounts (Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central, Walmart Marketplace, etc.)
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and optimizing account performance in a fast-paced digital commerce environment
  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms, digital merchandising, and online marketing strategies
  • Knowledge of AI-powered keyword research tools (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Perpetua)
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, and marketplace reporting tools
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building AI-enhanced dashboards in Power BI, Looker, or Tableau
  • Skilled in using LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai) for reporting and content generation
  • Familiarity with AI chat agents or workflow tools for automating marketplace tasks
  • Knowledge of AI-driven review sentiment analysis tools to interpret customer feedback
  • Your Daily Tasks

    Marketplace Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute marketplace account strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets
  • Monitor competitor activity and marketplace trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with digital marketing teams to plan and execute paid search, sponsored product, and promotional campaigns
  • Account & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for marketplace account managers and platform representatives
  • Manage joint business planning, negotiate terms, and track performance against KPIs
  • Build strong relationships with external partners to secure merchandising opportunities and enhance visibility
  • Product Content & Optimization

  • Ensure listings are SEO-optimized with compelling titles, bullet points, images, A+ content, and brand store enhancements
  • Maintain product catalog accuracy, manage variations, and oversee detail page improvements
  • Collaborate with creative teams for brand-aligned visuals and video content
  • Oversee brand registry, IP protection, and review strategies
  • Inventory, Pricing & Operations

  • Partner with supply chain and inventory teams to forecast demand and prevent stockouts
  • Plan and execute promotions, coupons, and seasonal campaigns (Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday)
  • Monitor fulfillment methods (FBA, FBM, WFS) and optimize for profitability
  • Ensure compliance with marketplace requirements and maintain pricing strategies
  • Coordinate with operations and 3PL partners for seamless fulfillment
  • Analytics & Reporting

  • Utilize tools like Amazon Business Reports, Helium 10, PacVue, and Seller Board to track KPIs
  • Provide regular reports on sales, traffic, conversion, and ROI
  • Identify and resolve risks such as suppressed listings or Buy Box loss
  • Present actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • KPIs:

  • Total sales revenue (per marketplace, category, and SKU level)
  • % of optimized listings (SEO, A+ content, brand store updates)
  • Buy Box ownership percentage
  • In-stock rate across top SKUs
