Sole manufacturers of the 'PAKAWAY' Building System.

The folding modular building, is produced in the heart of the industrial Midlands, and is designed to meet the requirements of BS5950 with loadings to BS6399 Parts 1 and 2.

In addition to the building we would be pleased to quote for Architectural services for Planning and Building Regulations and Civils, Groundworks and Foundations.

The buildings are manufactured in modular form and are used for a variety of purposes i.e. warehouses, workshops, vehicle maintenance sheds, offices, canteens, gymnasiums etc.

Our range of span sizes are from 5m to 21m which gives scope for many applications, with eaves heights from 3m to7m. A building of any length can be achieved by adding 3m modules as required. Roller shutter doors, steel personnel doors, rooflights and rainwater goods are fitted as standard.

All steel framework is made from cold rolled galvanized steel sections, computer punched with galvanized plates, cleats and fixings.

A high degree of thermal insulation is achieved by factory fitting an additional steel skin to the interior of the building, giving an attractive hard wearing finish and securely retaining 160mm of insulation material giving a â€˜Uâ€™ value of 0.25 W/mÂ²K.

Steelwork

All steel members, plates and brackets used in the construction have galvanised finish.

Cladding

.7mm thick box profile steel cladding with a choice of plastisol coloured outer coating and trim. To comply with Building Regulations part L2a for heated buildings, the Kitpac building has been successfully tested to exceed the design limits for air permeability. We can arrange air tests or SBME Calculations if required.

Insulation

.5mm thick box profile galvanized steel liner sheet plus 160mm fibreglass infill. â€˜Uâ€™ Value 0.25 W/mÂ²K.

Rooflights

10% translucent roof sheets fitted to comply with current C.D.M. regulations are provided as standard. Triple glazed on insulated buildings to give â€˜Uâ€™ value of 1.3 W/mÂ²K.

Main Door

Hand chain or electrically operated galvanised lath roller shutter doors fitted as standard. (alternative doors available on request).

Personnel Doors

Single or double leaf steel doors complete with mortice or panic furniture.

Standard Spans

Standard spans are 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,15,18 & 21 meters. (alternatives available)

Module Length

2.930m long 5m span to 12m span.

3.000m long 15m span to 21m span.

Eaves Height

Eaves height is standard at 4m, 5m & 7m (alternative heightâ€™s available on request).

Erection

The erection of the preclad modules and gable ends takes place in days rather than weeks.

Foundations

The building can be sited on a variety of foundations. On permanent locations the standard foundation consists of concrete slab with thickened edge beam.

Relocatable

The module construction allows the building to be re-sited many times at minimal costs.

Delivery

Usually 8/10 weeks with fast erection times due to the folding design.

Fire Protection

Walls of the buildings can be lined to give one hour fire protection.

Turnkey Project

A turnkey service is offered to clients from Groundworks right through to handover of the completed building.

Local Authority Approval

Drawings and design calculations are available for Planning & Building Regulations Approval.

Bad Ground

The modular design allows the building to be erected on bad ground conditions including infilled sites etc, without the need for concrete piles.
