A key component of the 拢60m project is the rebuilding of the gatehouse at the southwest corner of Farringdon Street and Holborn Viaduct junction to its original Victorian design using traditional materials.
The Portland stone detailing has been reproduced to match as closely as possible the fa莽ade of the original building.聽The sculpture was supplied by Stirling Stone.
The new gate house will complete the existing set of structures that were originally erected on the four corners of the viaduct as a grand gesture during the Victorian era.
The project is scheduled for completion this summer.
