Our client is a respected national consultancy, providing expert Quantity Surveying and Project Management services across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure, industrial, and refurbishment. ROLE

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will lead on a diverse portfolio of construction projects, taking ownership of both cost and project management responsibilities. You will play a key role in mentoring junior team members, acting as the main point of contact for clients, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

The role offers autonomy, responsibility, and variety, with the support of a collaborative and highly experienced team behind you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your key responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor will include:

Leading the delivery of construction projects and supervising junior team members including Quantity Surveyors, Assistants, and Apprentices
Acting as the main liaison with clients and design team consultants
Delivering full pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying and Project Management services independently
Representing our client at industry events and identifying new project opportunities
Carrying out Employer’s Agent duties on Design & Build contracts
Following internal Quality Management Systems for service consistency
Managing multiple concurrent projects with effective time management strategies
Ensuring high levels of client service and project satisfaction

PERSON

To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management, or a related field
Ideally MRICS status, or a commitment to achieving chartered status within three years
A minimum of 3 years' experience independently running construction projects within a consultancy setting
Proficiency in measurement techniques, ideally using CostX software
Strong commercial awareness and analytical thinking
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
A proactive and detail-oriented approach to your work
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with a willingness to travel nationwide as required
